Bronze-tipped spear
Pharaohs
Only one person ran Egypt and they were called Pharaohs. Pharaohs were believed to be gods. Ancient Egypt was controlled by the clergy. The Pharaoh let rich people represent him/her and assigned them estates. In their estates they could tell everybody what to do, but they had to send the pharaoh food that they grew on their land. Some of these estates belonged to priest even they had to send the pharaoh food.
Warfare
It was hard for people to invade Egypt because it is surrounded by desert. Egypt was a peaceful place, because Egyptians fought each other when they were to decide who would be the next pharaoh. Sometimes Libyans or Nubians. Sometimes they would invade Israel as well. They used bronze-tipped spears and ox-hide and wood shields, they would also capture people and bring them back as slaves.
Mercenaries
Mercenaries were people that were volunteer who are paid soldiers. mercenaries did not fighting in the name of god or to save their country, fight as a job. They would also change sides if that side offer more money.
Farming
Farming was extremely sucessful in Egypt because the Nile would flood every year leaving silt for the egyptians to plant crops in. As soon as the Nile recedes farmers would ploughed the soil and sow the seeds. they used large oxen to pull the larger ploughs. then they would let their animals walk over the fields to push the seeds down. They would use sickles to cut down the grain. Once the grain was cut the farmers would tie them in bundles.
