Pyramids
pyramids of Gizah
Pyramids are structures with a square or triangular base and was made of stone. The stone blocks were cut with copper tools. Pyramids have held great secrets about what life in Egypt was like for thousands of years. Nobody knows how these
massive blocks were moved this is why the pyramids are considered one of the seven wonders of the world, but there have been ramps found at the Amenemhat
I and Senwosret I at Lisht. Most scientist believed that they used some sort of lubrication to reduce friction on the roads and cedar sleds to pull these massive stone blocks with.
Pyramids were built to serve as a place to bury their dead kings (pharaohs), all their belongings, and their servants. Most pharaohs had only one pyramid built while others built two for example pharaoh Amenemhat III had had to pyramids built two pyramids one for his granite sarcophagus in Dahshur and his quartzite sarcophagus in Hawara.
