Ancient Egyptians believed in many gods and goddesses meaning they were polytheistic. They worshiped their gods and goddesses by lighting incenses, held processions where they carried the image of the gods and gave them animal sacrifices. They thought that Egypt Belonged to the gods and because they believed that the pharaoh was a god he ruled over Egypt. They also thought that when you died Anubis the god of the dead and the underworld would weigh your sol and if it was heavier than a feather it was weighed down by sins. You would be punished but if it weighed less it was thought that you would go to the next world, the next world is just like this one so they would bury you with every thing you in the next world.
